Digital rgb pixels are controlled lights you can program any effects or animate.Each digital pixel with rectangle PVC plastic and contains 3 RGB SMD5050 LEDs and a UCS1903 chip soldered to the PCB.The rectangle pixel module is them glued on the surface to make it waterproof.Those pixel module also have nice mounting options, for examples, each chain with 3M adhesive tape on the backside to help installing,you can put the pixel module into signs, so those pixel modules are typically used to make indoor and outdoor signs.Also each pixel module have 2 small 4mm diameter holes on the ends. They also can make large RGB pixel displays and dance stages,KTV floors.

Those pixels use 3 led with smd5050 RGB,with 120 degree beam width,which are connected by a 3 color cable,that is DC12V+,DATA and GND,of course,extra power cable for each chain.They are made by chains,and also for the Data is transfer on pixel to next pixel so that you can cut them as you need or add more chains together.

As for controller, the pixel modules are SPI signal,you can use sd card controller such as K-1000c,k-8000A,LM501. Those pixel modules also works with DMX protocol, you can use dmx controller which have function with dmx to spi transfer, such as LM501.The third way is using dmx decoder in the middle and change SPI into DMX protocol,then work with Madrix.The fouth way is some DIY controller such as arduino controller, wifi controller,blutooth controller..
